Yoga – Connect In Nature! – All Levels Class - Usery Park

Connect with nature in Usery Park’s Nature Center by exploring your breath before a desert hike. Improve your balance for a bike ride through easy-to-learn, fundamental yoga postures. This all-levels class for both beginners and experienced yogis sets the tone for your day of hiking, riding or…yes, even your workday! Please join Inner Vision Yoga and their certified instructors for inspiring yoga every Monday night at 6pm, Tuesday and Thursday at 9am, and Saturday at 8:30am. We will be taking a hike along one of our newest trails, the QUARTZ Trail, which will be approximately 3.6 miles as a loop. We will explore amazing plants and fascinating animals as well as the history of the area! Once we are done you will never see the desert the same again! Elephant Mountain Fortress Hike - Spur Cross

March 24 Saturday 9:00 am Elephant Mountain Fortress Hike (strenuous) Join us for a 7 mile / 5 hour roundtrip trek into the backcountry to one of the premier archaeological sites in the conservation area. Participants need to be in good condition and familiar with what hiking on primitive trails for this distance entails. Participants must bring at least one liter of water. We recommend you have a hat, & dress in layers. No dogs on this hike please.

Find the Ranger - Wind Cave Trail - Usery Park

This open-house style program features our ranger hiking along the Wind Cave Trail and stopping to talk to park visitors. Our ranger will show off his “Backpack of Knowledge” and be available to answer questions about the park, discuss park history, identify desert plants, or even explain which animals call Usery Park "home". Carry ample water.

*****Registration for this class is full. You are welcome to sign up for our archery program on 4/28. If you would like, you can show up the day of the class to fill any empty spots on a first come first serve basis.***** Maricopa County Parks and Recreation and Arizona Game and Fish are excited to get you behind the bow with a fun introduction to archery. Ages 8 and up are welcome to participate in the fun and safe sport of International Target Style Archery. This is a great way to get involved with this amazing sport and best of all, we will provide all the equipment. Park Opens for 2012 Season for Spring Break
Adobe Dam Regional Park
On Saturday March 17th, Wet 'n' Wild Phoenix, Arizona’s largest water park will open for the Park's 4th Season. Wet ‘n’ Wild will operate for nine consecutive dates March 17th through 25th for Spring Break before moving to weekend only operations. We encourage you to bring your family, friends and out-of-town guests to celebrate Spring Break at Wet 'n' Wild Phoenix. Don't forget prices on Season Pass and Gold Passes go up on May 26th! Spring Break is a great time to visit the park and get your 2012 Pass at the best price of the year.

"Just for Kids" - G.R.E.E.N. (Get Ready to Explore and Enjoy Nature) - Usery Park
Usery Mountain Regional Park
Why is spending time with nature so important? Kids (and parents) will learn about the importance of connecting with nature through activities, games, and a fun nature walk with Intern Jenn. We’ll explore the idea of protecting the land and then venture out onto the trail to put into practice what we’ve just learned! This program involves a 1-mile hike and is designed for kids ages 7-12. Please bring water, hats, and closed-toe shoes. Feel free to pack a picnic lunch and enjoy the rest of the day to explore on your own. Jennifer is an undergraduate student at Arizona State University, majoring in Sustainability, and is also a student intern at Usery Mountain Regional Park. Location: Area 6.

Late Afternoon Campground Nature Walk - Usery Park

Join park host, Sandy Hornbaker, for a late afternoon sojourn through our campground and nature trail on a quest to spot desert wildlife and plants. Wildlife sightings are not guaranteed, but bring binoculars, your afternoon tea, and a little patience. Be prepared to walk one to two miles. Please bring water. Cowboy Campfire and Hayride at White Tank Park
White Tank Mountains Regional Park
Park staff will be offering an opportunity to go on a mechanical hayride (Ford F-150 horses, pick-up truck and wagon) around the Waterfall Canyon Road Loop. Each ride will be about 20 minutes long. Rides will start about 7:30 pm and go continuously till about 9:00 pm. After the ride you can spend some time around the campfire in Area 4. Bring marshmallows to roast. White Tank will provide the hot chocolate and tea.
