BUSINESSES AWAIT LIFT OFF DURING ECONOMIC STORM
Entrepreneurs are counting down to the August 28th lift off of EMPOWER YOUR BUSINESS workshop, which will be held from 8:30am-12noon at Maricopa Workforce Connection’s Gilbert Career Center (Southeast corner of Guadalupe and Gilbert Road). Small businesses will discover strategic alternatives for financing, supply-chain management, marketing to general contractors, and differentiating their businesses in today’s challenging economy.

Dr. Otto Furuta, CEO/Materials & Contracts Services Arizona, LLC (www.macsazllc.com), will introduce alternatives to supply-chain management strategies. Dr. Ilene Ringler, CEO/Ilene Ringler Associates (www.Ileneringler.com), will demonstrate how differentiating one’s business through values clarification will provide a foundation for targeted and focused growth. Phyllis Rector, Principal/The Interface Financial Group (www.businessfundingaz.com) will focus on financing alternatives for small business. Marysela Bonillas-Gonzalez will discuss Small Businesses Marketing to General Contractors. Marysela is the Diversity Affairs Director/Arizona for Austin Commercial L.P.

Andres Chagolla, MCbiz Manager (www.maricopa.gov/mcbiz), will provide an overview of the County’s small business registration and certification process and how to do business with the County.
