The Maricopa County Department of Emergency Management is proud to announce the launching of it’s new website. The many functions of the department include providing community-wide education, planning, coordination, and continuity of government for the people of Maricopa County in order to protect lives, property and the environment in the event of a major emergency. The department is responsible for coordinating general emergency or disaster response and recovery activities through implementation of emergency response plans during and after emergencies throughout all of Maricopa County. Implementation requires the support and assistance of many other county departments, local jurisdictions, the private sector and volunteer agencies that make up the Maricopa County Emergency Response Team.
