CELEBRATION SLATED FOR SUN CITY BRANCH LIBRARY NOV. 14

Sun City Branch Library will host a rededication celebration on Saturday, November 14 at 10am.  Community members are invited to attend.

“We’ve done quite a bit to upgrade the facilities and bring additional resources to our customers.  From new layout to new carpet to new books to new computers, we have created a space that honors the needs of the Sun City community,” said Max Wilson, Maricopa County Board of Supervisors chairman.

The celebration is a fun and formal way to welcome citizens to the “new and improved” Sun City Branch Library.  While at the celebration, customers will meet Max Wilson, Harry Courtright, Maricopa County Library District director, Sun City Branch manager, Mary Goitia, and the entire library staff. 

Customers will be introduced to the myriad of services and resources the library provides, including children and teen programs.  There will there be cookies and other refreshments, a prize wheel and entertainment. Customers can also sign up for library cards free to any Maricopa County resident.

The Library District took the reins of Sun City Branch Library in May.  It is one of 17 libraries in the District that welcomed more than 3.4 million customers in fiscal year 2008-09.  For more information, please visit www.mcldaz.org.
