In an effort to educate Valley businesses and residents about the state of our air quality, the Maricopa County Air Quality Department will hold its annual Air Quality Conference on Tuesday, Oct. 20 at the Scottsdale Resort and Conference Center. Maricopa County faces a federal mandate to clean up the air, a problem that affects everyone living in the Valley. Not only is poor air quality a threat to our health, it is a threat to crucial transportation dollars coming into the state. For these reasons, the Maricopa County Air Quality Department will hold a yearly conference to inform the public about ways they can help create more clean air and share its plan to reduce the air pollution.
The conference, which will run all day on Oct. 20, will include educational seminars and panel discussions with economists, environmentalists, and business owners from varied industries throughout the county.
