“Ms. Morris comes to us with an impressive background in terms of her extensive experience, achievement and dedication of assisting to increase the levels of academic progress, achievement and success for all students.” said Dr. Covey

“Kristine has spent her entire career teaching and providing leadership to public schools throughout Maricopa County. I am confident that Kristine will provide inventive solutions and be instrumental in supporting the needs of our County Schools,” Covey stated.

Kristine began her career as a teacher in the Phoenix Union and Scottsdale School Districts. She later became Assistant Principal in Scottsdale and moved from there to Director of Student Achievement and Community Education in Madison and Cartwright School District where she also served as Assistant Superintendent for Educational Services. She joined the Pendergast School District in 2004, as the Principal of Sonoran Sky Elementary School, where she has served for the past five years. Her experience ranges from serving students and families from pre-school through high school in districts from low to high socio-economic status. This broad range of experience affords her a unique perspective on the variety of needs facing our diverse County. She looks forward to establishing relationships with service providers and schools throughout the County and growing the County’s Educational Service Agency (ESA) into a premier ESA in the nation.
