The Maricopa County Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC) has secured and distributed $20,599 in USDOT grant monies to four rural fire districts for the purchase of emergency response equipment used in hazardous materials incidents.
An LEPC subcommittee reviewed the various proposals and made awards ranging from $3486 to $6663 to four rural fire agencies, including;
· Aguila Fire Department
· Tonopah Valley Fire Department
· Buckeye Fire Department
· Daisy Mountain Fire Department
