Construction Codes

On September 5, 2007, the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors voted unanimously to adopt the following building codes with AZBO/MAG amendments:

• 2006 International Building Code

• 2005 National Electrical Code

• 2006 International Mechanical Code

• 2006 International Plumbing Code (effective 01-19-08)

• 2006 International Residential Code

As the various codes are owned and copyrighted by the International Code Council, National Fire Protection Association, the Planning & Development Department is unable to provide the codes on the website for customers.  Customers seeking this information can visit their local library or purchase a copy in most bookstores.

The following list includes text amendments that have recently been approved and incorporated into the current version of the Construction Code.
