MCACCs committed team of animal care and control professionals work to ensure the health, safety and welfare of people and pets in Maricopa County. In doing so, our field enforcement officers are law enforcement agents, educators, and animal care/welfare agents.

Field enforcement work encompasses multiple duties. Our officers enforce animal control ordinances such as leash laws. They pick up stray dogs if we are contracted. We do not pick up cats unless they have bitten a human being; however, stray cats can be brought into our Centers. They respond to calls about dangerous dogs and dog bites and rescue injured animals and bring them to our clinic for care.

MCACCs Field Services Department has contract agreements to provide a variety of services to 14 cities, as well as all unincorporated areas of Maricopa.
