FIRE BAN INFORMATION
Effective
Tuesday, May 27, 2014 through Thursday, August 28, 2014
Maricopa County's regional parks will initiate the annual fire ban. This includes banning the use of all
campfire, fire pits and charcoal grills; however, it is still acceptable to use gas/propane grills in designated areas such as the ramada areas, semi-developed and developed camping sites, and along the shoreline at Lake Pleasant Regional Park.
If the parks do not receive ample rain during the monsoon season, the Maricopa County Parks and Recreation Department
may extend the fire ban to protect the parks resources and ensure visitor safety. To learn more, click here.

The summers are HOT in Arizona, so stay cool at Lake Pleasant and earn BSA merit badges at the same time. We will be offering five sessions of day camp, with each session being four days in duration (Monday - Thursday). Camp is provisional so come as an individual, with friends or as a patrol. Come for one week or all four!

2014 Schedule

June 2 - 5 June 9 - 12 June 16 - 19 June 23 - 26  

Camp costs $225/ per scout. Earn up to four Merit Badges per week, sessons begin at 8:30 a.m. daily and end at 4:00 p.m.

Merit Badge Classes to be offered:

Aquatic
Canoeing, Fishing, Motorboating, Rowing, Small-Boat Sailing, Watersports, and Kayaking BSA.

Nature
Fishing, Fly-fishing, Environmental Science, Nature, Reptile & Amphibian Study, Insect Study, Fish & Wildlife Management, Mammals, Bird Study, Energy, Archaeology, Weather, Soil & Water Conservation, First Aid, Cooking, Archery and Rifle Shooting (not all merit badges will be offered every week and maybe subject to change). Camp is provisional so come as an individual, with friends or as a patrol.
