Thank you for your continued patience and support. Maricopa County’s Parks and Recreation Department is working on an operations and management agreement with the Town of Buckeye for the public shooting range. While we apologize for the delayed opening of the range, we can assure you that both parties are working diligently to craft an Intergovernmental Agreement that meets required federal, state, county mandates and addresses concerns for public safety. Once an agreement has been finalized, an opening date for the range will be posted.

The Buckeye Hills Shooting Range is located in the Buckeye Hills Regional Park, just 5 miles south of Buckeye, Arizona. The Park is located about 10.5 miles south of I-10 on S.R. 85. For those with a GPS, the Lat and Lon is 112.64255 and 33.27679.

Notice of Public Meeting
Naming the Buckeye Hills Shooting Range

Notice is given that two public meetings will be held by the Parks and Recreation Department of Maricopa County, Arizona. The purpose of the public meetings is to discuss the naming of the Buckeye Hills Public Shooting Range. The first public meeting will be held at the Buckeye Public Library – Conference Room, 310 N. 6 th St., Buckeye, Arizona on the 26 th day of September, 2008 at 1:15 p.m.

The second public meeting will be held at the Maricopa County Parks and Recreation Department located at 234 N. Central Ave., Suite 6400, on the 21 st day of October, 2008 at 8:45 a.m.

All persons wishing to make public comment regarding the naming of the Buckeye Hills Public Shooting Range are invited to attend.
