Are you a new employee to Maricopa County?

Follow these steps to enroll in your health insurance:

  • Attend New Employee Orientation (NEO). Your Department's HR Liaison will assist you in getting scheduled.
  • Print out and bring the "Know your Benefits" booklet to NEO. This will be reviewed during NEO.
  • Print out and complete the "Benefit Enrollment Worksheet". This will help you when you data enter your benefit elections online via the Benefit Enrollment System.
  • Schedule your appointment for Biometric Screening within 30 calendar days of your hire date to earn the $5 per pay period (twice monthly) incentive. Schedule your onsite appointment (Administration Building only) by clicking here and filling out the fields or click Here to view all the current ongoing facilities that offer this service at your neighborhood CareToday Clinic.
  • Input your benefit choices into ADP Portal via the Benefit Enrollment System within 30 calendar days of your hire date.
  • Click here to open a step-by-step set of instructions that describe how to log on and complete your benefit elections.
  • Contact your PC/LAN Help Desk at (602) 506-4357 for help with your USER ID or password.
  • To contact the vendors with specific benefit questions, refer to the "Who to Contact" page by clicking here.
  • Contact the Employee Benefits Division at (602) 506-1010 with questions regarding eligibility for benefits, premiums and general benefit questions.
  • If benefit elections are not input within 30 calendar days of your hire date, you will be defaulted to the Choice Fund Health Savings Account medical plan for employee only coverage, as a tobacco user who has not completed the Biometric Screening or Health Assessment.

  • After you have been enrolled in your medical benefit election, register for www.mycigna.com. Click here for instructions. Complete your Health Assessment within 30 calendar days of your benefits effective date to earn another $5 per pay period (twice monthly) incentive. Click here for instructions.

NOTE: Benefits are effective the first day of the month following your date of hire. Benefit premiums are deducted beginning
with the pay period in which this first day of the month falls. Premiums are not pro-rated.


Are you already a Maricopa County employee who just became eligible for benefits?

Follow these steps to enroll in your health insurance benefits:

  1. If you did not attend New Employee Orientation (NEO) or need a refresher, especially regarding benefits, ask your Department’s HR Liaison to assist you in getting scheduled.
  2. Print out and bring the "Know your Benefits" booklet and bring it to NEO or review the booklet’s content.
  3. Watch for an email with an enrollment form attached.
  4. Print out the attached enrollment form, complete and fax to the Employee Benefits Division fax number 602-506-2354 by the due date printed on the form.
  5. Contact the vendors with specific benefit questions. Refer to the “Who to Contact” page by clicking here, or call the Employee Benefits Division at 602-506-1010 with questions regarding eligibility for benefits, premiums and general benefit questions.
  6. Keep a copy of your completed enrollment form and the fax confirmation sheet for your records.
  7. Schedule an appointment for your Biometric Screening within 30 calendar days of the event date which caused you to become eligible for benefits to earn the $5 per pay period (twice monthly) incentive. Schedule your onsite appointment (Administration Building only) by clicking here and filling out the fields.   8. If benefit elections are not completed and faxed to the Employee Benefits Division within the due date printed on the enrollment form, you will be defaulted to the Choice Fund Health Savings Account medical plan for employee only coverage, as a tobacco user who has not completed the Biometric Screening or Health Assessment.
