Periodic Reports - 2002 |
These periodic emissions inventories were developed to meet requirements set forth in Title I of the Clean Air Act Amendments of 1990
(CAAA). The CAAA require development of a baseline emission inventory and periodic revisions (every 3 years) for areas that fail to meet the National Ambient Air Quality Standards (NAAQS).
Reports are available from 1999, 2002, and 2005.

This inventory includes emissions of coarse particulate matter <10 µm in diameter (PM10), fine particulate matter < 2.5 µm (PM2.5), nitrogen oxides (NOx), sulfur oxides (SOx), and ammonia (NH3). Emissions are calculated for both Maricopa County and the PM10 nonattaiment area. Annual totals as well as typical daily emissions are provided for all source categories.
Computational errors discovered in March 2006, in the 2002 Periodic Emissions Inventory (PEI) for PM10 have resulted in the revised electronic version of the main document and affected chapters (now denoted with the added text in the file name of “REVISED March 2006”) listed below. These corrections are described more fully in the 2-page errata sheet also listed below. |
This inventory includes emissions of volatile organic compounds (VOC's), nitrogen oxides (NOx), and carbon monoxide (CO). Emissions are calculated for both Maricopa County and the ozone nonattaiment area. Annual totals as well as typical ozone season-day (summer) emissions are provided for all source categories. |
This inventory includes emissions of carbon monoxide (CO) for both Maricopa County and the CO nonattaiment area. Annual totals as well as typical CO season-day (winter) emissions are provided for all source categories. |
