Fitness Focused - Cave Creek Regional Park
Cave Creek Regional Park
Join us for every Thursday in April as we get out on the trail to get our feet moving and heart pumping. We will bring you throughout a different part of the park each week and total 2.5 to 3.5 miles each week. It is getting warm out there so bring plenty of water to stay hydrated. Meet at the Overton Trailhead.

"San Tan Rocks" Hike - San Tan
San Tan Mountain Regional Park
Volcanoes, dinosaurs and gold; join us for a 2.2 mile hike on the Stargazer Trail that truly “Rocks.” On this desert expedition, we will be taking a closer look at the geology of San Tan and what types of rocks and minerals are commonly found on the trails.

Archeology Walk at White Tank Park
White Tank Mountains Regional Park
On this 1.5 mile hike, on an easy trail (with some climbing) you will get to view evidence left by people who lived in our Valley long before any European visited our shores. Rangers will take you to areas not usually accessible to the public. There is some rock climbing involved so wear good shoes. Meet at Area 4 at 9:00 am. No dogs please.

Tortoise Talks Come meet our new tortoises, Lily, Lady, and Scarlett, and baby tortoises, too! Help Ranger Amy feed them lunch! Find out why you should never pick up a wild tortoise, and learn about tortoises that are looking for homes. Don’t forget your camera – our tortoises are very photogenic (and they move slowly so you can get great pictures). Meet out back of the Visitor Center.

White Tank Mountain Regional Park is offering yoga classes in the nature center TUESDAYS AND THURSDAY 9-10AM. Classes start 4/17/12 White Tank Mountain Regional Park 20304 W. White Tank Mountain Road Waddell, AZ 85355 Instructor, Candace Jordan Ph: 425-299-5810 Cost: $10 per class for Maricopa County Parks Annual Pass Holders $15 per class for non pass holders Please bring your annual pass to class for verification. Please check the website for any cancellations. What to bring- • Water • Yoga mat • Towel and or props you may need. A blanket, strap and yoga block is recommended for stiff joints and tight muscles. Please consider the following- • If it is your 1st time to attend a class, please arrive 10 minutes early to fill out waiver form and discuss any limitations with instructor. • Check/Sign in on the class roster • We don't accept credit cards so PLEASE BRING CASH/CHECK. Little Critters Storytime with Ranger Amy - (Geared toward preschool and older children) Join us every Thursday for a themed program set around a children's book read aloud by Ranger Amy. Activities vary and may include live animals, songs, crafts, and/or puppet plays. This program takes place in our air-conditioned Visitor Center.
