Exploring Desert Washes - Usery Park
Usery Mountain Regional Park
Have you ever walked inside a wash? What makes them so special and unique? How do washes contribute to the health of the desert itself? Join us for a look at the fascinating world of desert washes as we explore their importance to the desert ecosystem. This walk is 1.5 mile in length. Please bring water and closed-toe shoes. Location: Trail Staging Area.

CEMP Meeting - Estrella

We are happy you are enjoying our beautiful park. If you would like to be involved with its improvements, or spreading the word about it's benefits you are invited to attend our "Friends Group" for the park. Our group is called CITIZENS FOR ESTRELLA MOUNTAIN PARK (CEMP) and our meetings are held at the Nature Center on the second Wednesday of each month at 6:30pm (October through May). Howling at the Moon Dog Walk - San Tan
San Tan Mountain Regional Park
Join us on a beautiful adventure into the Sonoran Desert as the sun sets and the full moon rises. There will be sights to see, smells to take in, dogs to meet, and bushes to mark (it’s okay to bring your owner too). Please make sure to bring a leash and water for your dog. No werewolves allowed. We will be setting out on the Goldmine and Littleleaf trails, approximately 1.3 miles round trip.

Owl Moon Hike - - Pemberton Trail
McDowell Mountain Regional Park
Mid-winter is owl-breeding season in the Sonoran Desert, and it's a great time to hear their strange and beautiful calls. Join Ranger Amy to experience the desert “come alive” by the light of the full moon at McDowell Mountain Regional Park. Flashlights are not necessary, but permitted. Bring plenty of water and sturdy shoes. Hiking time is 2 hours, and 3 miles. No pets please. Hikes begin at the Trailhead Staging area.
