The Maricopa County Superintendent of Schools (MCSOS) administers Governing Board Elections in compliance with Arizona Revised Statutes. A.R.S. ยง 15-421
Our goal is to make the governing board election an easy process for all interested candidates. The following support services are available to all candidates:
If you are interested in running for a Governing Board seat in the November 2010 election there will be an informational packet available from our office after December 1, 2009. This packet contains valuable information for both new candidates and incumbents and will guide you through the process towards becoming a Governing Board Member. See below for information on how to request a Governing Board Packet.
Signature requirements will not be available until after March 1, 2010 because the State of Arizona requires they be based off of the total of registered voters as of March 1st.
Requesting a Governing Board Packet is now even easier! By filling out the online form below you can submit you request directly to our office and we will mail it to you after December 1st! If you would like, you also have the option of downloading and filling out the Governing Board Election Packet Request Form and mailing or faxing it to our office for processing. Can't wait for the mail? Simply stop by our office, after December 1st, during business hours and you may pick up a Governing Board Packet.
