Subsidized Spay/Neuter Voucher Program
MCACC began a voucher program for families in financial need of spay/neuter services in April of 2006. The Big Fix Program provides free spay/neuter surgeries for your dog(s) and cat(s) at participating veterinarians throughout the valley. Here are a few basic points about the process:
- Simply fill out an application and return with payment (if applicable)
- Approximate 2 week turn-around time
- You choose from a list of participating veterinarians
- You will have 90 days to use the voucher
- If applicable, your dog license will be mailed to your home following sterilization.
Arizona State Law Requires:
Dogs:
- Requires all dogs over the age of three months to be vaccinated for rabies
- Requires all dogs to be licensed in the county in which they reside
Cats
- The law does not require cats to be rabies vaccinated, but it is strongly recommended
- Licensing is not required or currently available for cats
