Fostering
Are you thinking about adopting a pet, but not sure if you are ready for a long-term commitment? Why not consider becoming a foster caregiver through our Foster Care program? Providing foster care to puppies and kittens that are too young to go up for adoption, injured or sick animals or those with behavior issues until they are ready to be adopted is a fantastic way to help us save lives! We receive dozens of these animals every day and in order for them to get better, they need a little extra care and attention.
By providing foster care to these animals in need, we are giving them a second chance in life. As a foster parent, there is no out-of-pocket cost. MCACC will provide the food, medicine and veterinary care. All you need to give is love, time and a nurturing environment. The length of time needed for each foster animal is different. It all depends on their needs.
If you are interested in becoming a foster caregiver, the first step is to become a MCACC volunteer by attending one of our volunteer orientations. Then, we will train you to become a foster caregiver and provide you with most supplies. For more information on how to become a volunteer, check out our Volunteer Opportunities.
