  • Tier 1 dogs are all dogs that aren't Pit Bulls and are not “at risk“ (over the age of 7, ill, injured, behavioral issues).
  • Tier 2 dogs are Pit Bills.
  • Tier 3 dogs are dogs that are over the age of 7, injured, ill, or have behavior issues.
  • Cat adoption fees are as follows: Kittens are $100. Cats over a year old are $85.
  • Microchips are available for $25.
  • Feline Leukemia testing is available for cats for an additional $35.

Adopted animals will be spayed or neutered and given age appropriate vaccinations, but may need boosters in the future. Dogs over three months will be licensed. Additionally, each pet is eligible for a free wellness check from a list of valley veterinarians. We accept cash, checks (run through TeleCheck like a debit card), and credit cards (Master Card and Visa).

Of course, we cannot guarantee the health of any adopted animal. To be sure your pet is healthy, we strongly recommend that you take your pet to a veterinarian within 10 days of adoption. Not all animal diseases have symptoms right away, but a veterinarian will be able to identify any health-related problems.

The vaccinations included with the adoption are not good for a lifetime and do not cover all diseases your pet may have been exposed to prior to adoption. You should visit a veterinarian to get all the necessary shots for your pet. If there is a problem, we will exchange unhealthy animals within 15 days of adoption.

Do you know someone who is planning to adopt a pet? Consider giving a special gift of love by purchasing a MCACC gift certificate. Gift certificates can be used for any of MCACC's services.
