Strategic Plan

MCACC has completed an Extensive Department Strategic Plan process that will set the future tone and direction of the services we provide in Maricopa County. Throughout this process we adopted the County’s “Managing for Results” approach to ensure that we implement measurable goals and remain accountable for achieving results. The key strategic issues we will focus on over the next five years include:

• Increase spay/neuter efforts
• Reduce the number of animals that need sheltering
• Increase license compliance
• Reduce animal bites
• Reduce euthanasia
• Increase education and outreach efforts
• Proactively participate in anti-cuelty efforts
• Increase services to at-risk areas and to do so with professionalism and in a safe manner
