How you can Help
Each year, MCACC receives tens of thousands of homeless dogs and cats and provides a variety of services to the community. A part of Maricopa County, MCACC does not receive any direct funding from the county. We are responsible for obtaining our own operating funds. We raise the money we need to help animals in several ways: donations, dog licenses, contracts with local cities to provide field services, and service fees. We also rely on volunteers to enhance the care provided to the animals in our Animal Care Centers. We hope you will consider becoming a MCACC contributor or volunteer. By getting involved, you can help support the following valuable programs.
Individual Giving Back to top
MCACC happily accepts monetary and in-kind donations. All donations go directly to the care of homeless and neglected animals. We accept personal, cashier, and business checks, along with money orders and credit cards (MasterCard and Visa). You can mail or bring a donation to any of our Centers.
If you would like to make a financial contribution to MCACC, we have good news! Donations made to MCACC are tax deductible if they are given for public purposes and not used for the payment of licenses or fees. The Internal Revenue Service has determined that contributions made to qualified organizations are tax deductible. For purposes of tax deductibility, qualified organizations are defined as those organizations that operate for religious charitable, educational, scientific, and literary purposes, or for the prevention of cruelty to children or animals.
Below are some of the ways you can offer a donation:
Sponsor a pet: For $70 you can sponsor a cat at our Cat Adoption Center. As a sponsor you can name the animal of your choice and you will receive progress updates on your sponsored pet.
Sponsor a kennel: You can sponsor all the animals in a kennel for only $500 a month. Your generosity will be acknowledged on a sign bearing your name in the kennel. You can sponsor all the animals in the kennel for a full year for only $5,000.
Gifts or memorials: Finding the perfect gift for an animal lover just got easier! Give a monetary donation to MCACC and the gift recipient will receive a notification of the special donation in his/her name. Donations can also be made in the memory of a pet that has passed away.
Please contact the MCACC finance department for additional information at 602-506-0221 or nharris@mail.maricopa.gov

Donate items to the Friends of Animal Care & Control Thrift Store: Did you know that the Friends of Animal Care & Control (FACC's) has a fabulous Thrift Shop? Please consider donating gently used items like artwork, clothing, shoes, appliances, furniture, tools, etc. to the Thrift Shop. Proceeds will benefit MCACC programs.
