The first Bashas� store. Located on the corner of Boston and Washington Streets in Chandler. Originally called the Boston Store (because of its location on Boston St.). Opened by Najeeb and Najeeby Basha, Lebanese immigrants. In 1932, two of their sons, Ike and Eddie, Sr., opened a store south of Chandler (today�s Ocotillo neighborhood of Chandler), called Bashas�, and the Bashas� chain was begun. Bashas� Corporate Headquarters is still located in Ocotillo. |

The Serrano family started out with a department store, known as The Popular Store, but the growth of the big box stores in the 1970s caused the family to look into other businesses, and the popular Mexican food restaurant was born. The Morrison Brothers� Grocery. This was the first grocery store to open in Chandler in 1912. It began in this small wooden structure, but very soon moved into a permanent brick building on San Marcos Place. That building still stands, but the wooden building was demolished. These traits have yielded a successful history of working relationships with not only clients but also other consulting firms.
The company was founded by Frank Barich as a sole proprietary in 1999 in Brazoria County, Texas. Two years later Mr. Barich moved the corporate headquarters and incorporated the company in Arizona to initiate a significant long-term project with the City of Phoenix, Sky Harbor International Airport. During this time, Mr. Barich joined the Chandler community as a resident and made the daily commute to the Airport. The results of 9/11 later that year slowed the progress of the company in its growth, especially in Chandler, where he was determined to open an office and support his local community.
Persevering through the delays and unwavering in his goals and faith, Mr. Barich opened the company’s Chandler office in 2006. Today, Barich, Inc. has been able to support the City of Chandler through its current contract with the Chandler Municipal Airport, along with its status as a Chairman Circle member of the Chandler Chamber of Commerce.
