Resources for First Responders and Emergency Planners The Maricopa County LEPC serves as the distribution point for the Emergency Response Guidebook (ERG). The ERG is a guidebook for first responders during the initial phase of a dangerous goods/hazardous materials incident.
The electronic version of ERG2008 is available at http://hazmat.dot.gov/pubs/erg/guidebook.htm.
A hazardous materials incident response can be costly to local government, and financial assistance is available through EPA. The form and additional information can be obtained from the Arizona Emergency Response Commission website at: https://www.azserc.org/Tools/Recovery/DisasterRecoveryGuidebook/tabid/139/Default.aspx
Also, the EPA website provides tools and resources for first responders and emergency planners to better plan and prepare to chemical emergencies. http://yosemite.epa.gov/oswer/ceppoweb.nsf/content/toolsAndResources.htm?OpenDocument
