I have overall responsibility for accomplishment of the department’s

are ensuring the county’s ability to respond to an incident
at the Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station, providing administrative
support to the Maricopa County Local Emergency Planning Committee,
coordinating flood response plans with the Flood Control District
of Maricopa County and others, and ensuring that the county
emergency operations center (EOC) is ready to be activated
when needed.
I'm also actively involved in the homeland security arena.
I am a member of the Central Region Advisory Council, which
determines the homeland security strategy and sets policy
for the distribution of federal homeland security funds in
Arizona's Central Region (Maricopa County). I am also one
