Russ Heisinger manages the Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Division that is responsible for all parcel mapping and geospatial support for the Office. Russ has been the division manager since 1997 and was instrumental in the migration of the Assessor's office from paper maps to the digital mapping and the GIS web presence.

Prior to joining the Assessor, Russ built an extensive 15-year tenure of experience with Maricopa County as a GIS Business Analyst for the Department of Transportation, and Chief Cartographer and Planning Technician for the Department of Planning and Development. He has also played a key role for the past 20 years in the development and moderation of the Maricopa County Regional GIS Technical Council. This group is dedicated to the advancement of GIS technologies and data sharing to better our citizens.
