Since beginning with the Assessor’s office in 1988, Socorro Candelaria has been moving up the ranks. She was originally hired as a Clerk II at the Assessors Front Counter and after four years became a Property Appraiser. By 1996 she was assisting Crew Chiefs with training and duties and was promoted to Appraisal Coordinator in 1998. She continued to move up the ranks and in June 2008 was promoted to Manager overseeing the Major Properties/Splits/Appeals.

Socorro was born and raised in the great state of Texas (Go COWBOYS). She graduated from Bel Air High School in El Paso and attended the University of Texas at El Paso. She enjoys sports, movies, shopping and friends.
